What renting through us involves, what you will need to provide, and what you will pay — set out before you view, not after.
Before you pay anything
The most common thing that goes wrong for tenants in Nigeria is paying a year's rent on a verbal understanding, then discovering the terms afterwards — a service charge nobody mentioned, a repair obligation that turns out to be yours, or a landlord who is not actually the person entitled to let the property.
With us, you see the written tenancy agreement and the full schedule of costs before any money moves. We confirm the landlord's title before we market a property, so the person receiving your rent is the person entitled to receive it.
If anything in the agreement is unclear, ask. A consultant will go through it with you clause by clause.
The process
Tell us the area, budget and property type. We will alert you when something matching comes in, usually before it is advertised.
Accompanied viewings arranged around your schedule, including evenings and Saturdays. We will tell you the property's shortcomings as well as its merits.
Once you decide, we take your offer to the landlord and begin referencing. You will be asked for identity, proof of employment or income, and a previous landlord reference.
You receive the tenancy agreement and a written breakdown of every cost. Nothing is payable until you have both and are satisfied.
We record a dated, photographed schedule of condition with you present, then hand over keys. Keep your copy — it is what protects your deposit.
What you will need
Having these to hand shortens referencing from weeks to days.
